Link building is one of the most challenging and important tasks for bloggers. Simply asking for link exchanges from other blogs in your niche will only bring in a trickle of traffic without much SEO benefits.

And since it can be quite time-consuming to get link exchanges, many think this is just not worth it.

Besides, if you do manage to gather hundreds of links this way, chances are your blog will begin to look more like a directory.

Having good content gets you links but hardly in the hundreds or thousands. But if you use good content with a linkbaiting strategy, you could end up with thousands of natural one way links.
